Government Medical College and Hospital Kota

Government Medical College and Hospital which was established in 1992, is the medical college of Kota division of Rajasthan. It is located at Rangbari Road, around 14 km away from Kota junction railway station and around 10 km away from Rajasthan road ways bus stand. The class of first batch students was conducted in ESI hospital building at Jhalwar road Kota. Then the medical college was shifted to its new building in 1997. Now this medical college has a spacious campus that comprises of college building, administrative block, indoor courts, auditorium, indoor courts, hostels for boys and girls, staff accommodation and new medical College Hospital.
The Medical College started post graduate courses in General Medicine, General Surgery, ENT, Opthalmology, Orthopaedics, Anesthesiology and Radio diagnosis. Other specialization in TB & Chest diseases, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry was started in 2002. There are some non-clinical and preclinical subjects like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, Forensic medicine and preventive & social medicine are also running in this triple story college building.

At present, 100 students are admitted for MBBS course here every year though central and state pre-medical test.  The hospitals that are attached to Medical College Kota and are working under the control of Director of Medical and health Services, Rajasthan are the following:
